Who supported Mubarak?

By Half- Egyptian Token

We are presented with a golden opportunity to mark certain people as bad. It is golden because it puts a solid end to any confusion about their character. It should, from now on, block all attempts at giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Here’s the litmus test: some of us may have been a little uncertain about Husni before the Revolution 18 days ago. However, since the recent uprising started, his true colors became so vivid, so evident to the entire world that if anyone still backed him during the last 18 days, they must be, well, bad. Plain, filthy, evil, bad.

So here goes:

Dick Cheney: Still brave enough to talk in public after Halliburton’s multiple scandals and the horrors of his time in office, and still healthy enough to even talk, Dick probably tought he has a few years left to live, so why not do some more evil? Obviously, shooting someone in the face proved unfashionable in these crazy times of ours. So what does he do? He goes out of his way to publicly call Mubarak “a good man”. No, Dick. You and Mubarak are both bad dudes.

Israel: From Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Haaretz columnists, the Leech State’s voice to the World was calling for the support of Mubarak against his people. Israel, which pounds our ears time after time with the “only true democracy in the Middle East” line apparently loves democracy, but not when applied to an Arab people.

Tony Blankley: He literally wrote an article entitled: “Support Mubarak. Down the Revolution. Up Orderly Progress!” Need I say more? You’re a bad person, Tony.

Leslie Gelb: Quite a disturbing person. This guy is President Emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations. So for him to call upon the US government to stop supporting Egyptian protesters and support Mubarak instead sheds a bad light on US foreign diplomacy. Disappointing for beginners, mundane for the politically aware.

Bill O’Reilly and his FOX cohorts: First, Bill: Pseudointellectual. Thinks he has common sense. Yells a lot (which is good because it increases his chances of getting a brain aneurysm). His face is just seething with personal misery. He’s pathetic. Now he’s both pathetic and bad after repeatedly urging everyone to stand with Mubarak because the “Islamists” are planning to make his wife wear a burqa by taking over Egypt. He and his Faux News larvae have had nothing to say about the whole Egyptian deal except “Beware of the Islamists!” They don’t care about history, politics, human rights, poverty, corruption, or oppression. They don’t care about torture in prisons, protesters getting killed in the streets, or anything else other than spreading fear and making money in the process. True false prophets of our times.

Walid Shoebat: Walid is probably yearning for fatherly love, but I don’t care about his psychology. He’s officially a bad person for siding with Mubarak against his people.

King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz of Saudi Arabia: I thought he was just trying to be noble when he hosted Tunisia’s Bin Ali. Now he’s outrightly on Mubarak’s side! Give it a rest, Abdul. You’re old, you’re ill, and so far you’ve gotten away with making people have some respect for you. Why ruin your life when you’re about to leave it? Can’t you think of a better legacy for yourself?

Rush Limbaugh: Is it me, or is Rush’s face suitable for a woman? Seriously. If someone told me he’s a lesbian woman and I didn’t know who he was, I could fall for it. Anyhow, where do I start with his comments on the Egyptian uprising? From supporting Mubarak to warning against “the Islamists” to even mocking the journalists who were beaten in the protests.. he’s a lost cause for me. Evil through and through.

NARUS: This is an American company that helped the ex-Egyptian Government monitor internet activity and locate anti-government activists, an activity considered illegal in the US.

Mike Huckabbee: Baby faced, big eyed, and totally crazy. This demon in doctor’s clothing is completely engrossed by Messianic Apocalyptic Dementia (MAD) and considers Israel to be essential for not only World peace, but for the second coming of Christ. The beauty of events like these is that false religions are revealed for what they are, and a “religion” that leads to supporting tyrranny cannot be described as anything but false, and bad. Out of “concern” for peace, he warned that the Egyptian protests could threaten peaceful nations. By “peaceful nations”, of course, he means Israel, which was established by terrorist gangs and continues to “peacefully” subjugate, humiliate, and assassinate Palestinians.

Alan Dershowitz: Careful enough not to be too forthright in supporting Mubarak, he nevertheless undermined the credibility of the Egyptian protests and justified the US’s “cozying up” to dictators like Mubarak. His position is, and always has been, identical to that of Israel.

Update on: The US must have given Mubarak the green light to attack protesters

Feb 5th, 2011

Exactly what I feared has turned out to be true. Our government had certainly given the green light to Mubarak to do whatever is necessary to stay in power, at least for now. How else would you explain today’s words of US envoy Frank Wisner, who was dispatched to Cairo on Monday:

“You need to get a national consensus around the preconditions of the next step forward, and the president must stay in office in order to steer those changes through. I therefore believe that President Mubarak’s continued leadership is critical — it’s his opportunity to write his own legacy.”

Actually, Mubarak’s temporary leadership is not critical at all. Egypt’s 80 million people have many highly educated minds who are very capable of leading the country during a transitional period. Wisner’s words are patently revocable.

Critical, yes, but only for the United States’ interests, not the interest of the Egyptian people. Why is it critical for the US that Mubarak stays for a while, you ask? Because our government needs time to work its intelligence agents to somehow sabotage the Egyptian revolution and steer it toward choosing another US puppet regime. We need time to figure out how to play this to our full advantage and make sure “the Islamists” stay out of power. Our government needs some time to work out a plot, with the assistance of Mubarak, to secure Israel’s interests and keep Egypt from being truly independent at all costs. We need time to make darn sure that the popular voice in Egypt has no sound in its government. That is why he’s ”critical”.

This so-called leader has been embezzling his country out of billions of dollars while the average Egyptian made under $2000 a year. He is literally more of a thief than a leader. In the last few days he has killed and injured many peaceful protesters, which makes him a thief and a murderer. How can anyone say that it is necessary for a murderous thief to stay in power, even for a short time?

Let me get this straight. We have known all along that he was a dictator and we have known fully well about all his illegal ways of accumulating wealth, yet we chose to hide these facts and keep him as an “ally” sitting over the chests of Egyptians for over 30 years.

And now after all he has done in the last few days, after he unleashed his goons to kill and maim hundreds of his own people and after that became known to people around the Globe, we still say he’s “critical” for Egypt?!

This is nothing less than infuriating - to look at the Egyptian people with such insulting, despising eyes. Had Mubarak been ruling the United States, Wisner would be calling for his immediate prosecution. But being a brutal stealing dictator presiding over Egyptians, a “lesser” people who are used to humiliation and poverty and are too “novice” for democracy, somehow grants Mubarak amnesty?

No, not one moment of Mubarak is critical for Egypt.

Israel’s recipe for world peace

By Happy Token

Febuary 4th, 2011

Still terrified, Israeli officials are demanding, yet again, that the US stand more firmly on the side of Egyptian dictator Mubarak against his people. Israeli lawmaker Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said yesterday: “I don’t think the Americans understand yet the disaster they have pushed the Middle East into”, that is, by not reprimanding the Egyptian protesters for wanting to get rid of Mubarak and his party.

The Israelis are quite concerned about the security of the Middle East and the rest of the world. They worry that radical Islam will take over and throw the world into chaos.

This might come as a surprise to you, but Israel has been working hard all this time to secure world peace. And now their benevolent plan is in peril.

“So what is this plan of theirs?”, you ask naively. In a nutshell, here it is:

- Bring thousands of people from a certain religion/ethnicity (we’ll call it Group J) and plant them in a distant land already inhabited by people with different religions/ethnicities (the Natives). This may generate a little resistance from the Natives, but such resistance should be crushed at all costs. They must be driven out and turned into refugees, and their property seized by Group J. The Natives who resist are to be fought against and massacred en masse, if necessary. Nothing should stand in the face of world peace.

- Have Group J establish their state on a land considered holy to the Natives. Better yet, let it be holy to all people sharing the religion of the Natives – about a fifth or the World’s population. If this drives a wedge and creates endless enmity between the West and one fifth of the World’s population, it’s worth it. Anything for world peace.

- To irk the Natives and their sympathizers more, Group J can practice land confiscation, periodic raids and killings of the Natives, home demolitions, and all sorts of illegal activities and human rights abuses. This is likely to radicalize Natives and their sympathizers worldwide, but it’s all worth it in the name of world peace!

- Since the neighboring countries are seething with people sympathetic with the Natives, these countries need to have leaders appointed and maintained by the West. These leaders should be strong dictators, harsh against their own peoples. They should make sure democracy is never applied in their respective countries, otherwise Native sympathizers will rise to power and pose a danger to Group J. These dictators should utterly crush dissent and extinguish any chance of a revolt, even if it means killing hundreds of their own citizens. Remember, it’s a small price to pay in exchange for world peace.

There you have it. You want world Peace? The Israelis got it all sorted out. You just need to step out of the way and let the Israelis do their magic. In no time everyone on Earth will love one another. Terrorism will be a thing of the past. Radical Islam will become extinct. I just hope you remember to thank the Israelis for their memorable efforts.

The US must have given Mubarak the green light to attack protesters

By Half-Egyptian Token

Febuary 3rd, 2011

It’s crazy fest right now in Egypt. Anti government protesters have been under attack by so-called “Mubarak supporters” since two nights ago.

“Mubarak supporters”, a seemingly benign term, is being used by US media to make it seem like there are different points of view within Egypt’s populace, one with and one against Mubarak, arguing amongst each other and the argument got violent.

Not true. These “Mubarak supporters” have been exposed several times by the protesters as being either secret police (they captured a few and took their badges), or as mercenaries hired for money (Egyptians are so poor that some will do anything for some of cash or a meal). This has been proven over and over by eye witnesses and reporters alike. Some have actually defected from the pro Mubarak mobs and told news agencies that they were convicts who were offered amnesty in exchange for beating anti-government protesters.

And they are riding horses and camels and using things like knives, swords, sticks, tear gas, and molotov cocktails to terrorize the anti government protesters. Some say that the scene looks like a movie about the Middle Ages.

If you had ever lived in Egypt, you will not have an inkling of doubt in your mind that these “Mubarak supporters” are hired by Mubarak’s regime. The question is: Is it possible that the US does not know that?

Simply, no. The US does know about it. The US also has no choice but to disown the violence and play foul, otherwise that would wreck its international reputation and anger many Americans.

But notice how not one US declaration called for what the protesters are actually calling for: the resignation of Mubarak and the ending of his ruling party. Obama and Clinton’s words obliquely refer to the issue by saying “we need real change”, or whatever.. Inconsequential words.

The only explanation to what is going on is that the US secretly gave permission to Mubarak to do what he needs to do to stay in power, at least for now. The reasoning is not that we know for sure that “radical Islamists” will take hold of Egypt, it’s that we do not know. This gripping fear of the unknown is causing our government to want Mubarak to stay for now, just for reassurance, and push for change later, even if it means hundreds of injured Egyptians and some dead. We are always ready to accept some collateral damage.

Another reason is that if the revolution in Egypt ousts Mubarak as quickly and “easily” as the one in Tunisia ousted Bin Ali, virtually every dictatorship in the world will stand a good chance of being revolted against and overthrown, starting with the dictatorships in the Middle East. And because US interests are mostly secured through dictators in other countries, the US would have too much to lose if such a scenario would come to fruition. So even if anti-Mubarak protests succeed in ending Mubarak’s regime, it must come at a high cost for the Egyptians. That will “teach the rest of the world a lesson” to think twice before trying to end dictatorships.

But this reasoning is obviously Machiavellian. It is not ok to want democracy in Egypt, but only on our terms at a pace we choose. Egyptians have been waiting for decades for change and it’s about time. They want it now. We should support them and get rid of Mubarak and all of his henchmen now.

Egypt is reforming and Israel is shaking in her boots

By Happy Token

It was to my delight to see Arabs – long forgotten as non consequential, backward people – revolt against power-hungry corrupt leaders in Tunisia, and now, Egypt. Bin Ali’s fleeing to Saudi Arabia and his subsequent total muting by Saudi officials (seriously, the guy hasn’t uttered a word since his exile) was so refreshing, so invigorating. I’m a happier person these days.

But the look on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face.. Priceless. He and his cabal of racist bigots are visually shaking in their boots. They want Egypt’s dictator Mubarak to stay. They want Egyptians to continue to suffer under a corrupt strongman. They really do!

Haaretz proved it this morning when it stated that Israel practically shouted out an SOS to the World to save Mubarak’s regime. This comes from a country that boasts being “the only democracy in the Middle East”. Sure.. The only democracy because it continually makes sure other countries stay under dictator rulership.

And not that Israel is a true democracy anyway. Israel’s record of human rights abuses, land stealing, and theocratic class discrimination makes Israel’s sympathizing with criminal regimes like Mubarak’s come natuarally.

Now watch as Israel starts calling upon every Israel supporter in the World through leagues like AIPAC and the ADL here in America to put all their weight behind Mubarak’s regime. Pro-Israel writers will come out of the woodwork writing articles that warn against a supposed “Islamist” regime to come after Mubarak. These calls will come from Right, Left and Center. People you thought were for human rights like Stephen Colbert will show their true colors as they join the choir to support Mubarak’s dictatorship for the sake of Israel’s “safety”.

Pro-Israel Americans will feverishly push to have the US government support Mubarak. They will inundate their senators and representatives with phone calls and e-mails.. all for the support of a dictator. Sad, but true. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not. You’ll see.

Oh, and now Yahoo! is running a front page piece about the American woman being charged with a crime in Iran. You’ll probably see a lot more of this as a constant reminder of what could happen in Egypt if, God forbid, a Muslim voice makes it to the parlement. There will probably be many more news reports making it to mainstream media outlets about what the “Islamists” are capable of doing, be it in Pakistan, Iran, or anywhere else in the World.

Seriously, Israel: give it a rest, will ya? Haven’t you committed enough sins already? Do you really have to be so  brazenly terrible as to recommend the retention of a corrupt dictator just to serve your interests? I know people have decided you’re not adorable any more (hint: flotilla), but now you’re just being a bitch. I’m sorry.
