Who supported Mubarak?

By Half- Egyptian Token

We are presented with a golden opportunity to mark certain people as bad. It is golden because it puts a solid end to any confusion about their character. It should, from now on, block all attempts at giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Here’s the litmus test: some of us may have been a little uncertain about Husni before the Revolution 18 days ago. However, since the recent uprising started, his true colors became so vivid, so evident to the entire world that if anyone still backed him during the last 18 days, they must be, well, bad. Plain, filthy, evil, bad.

So here goes:

Dick Cheney: Still brave enough to talk in public after Halliburton’s multiple scandals and the horrors of his time in office, and still healthy enough to even talk, Dick probably tought he has a few years left to live, so why not do some more evil? Obviously, shooting someone in the face proved unfashionable in these crazy times of ours. So what does he do? He goes out of his way to publicly call Mubarak “a good man”. No, Dick. You and Mubarak are both bad dudes.

Israel: From Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Haaretz columnists, the Leech State’s voice to the World was calling for the support of Mubarak against his people. Israel, which pounds our ears time after time with the “only true democracy in the Middle East” line apparently loves democracy, but not when applied to an Arab people.

Tony Blankley: He literally wrote an article entitled: “Support Mubarak. Down the Revolution. Up Orderly Progress!” Need I say more? You’re a bad person, Tony.

Leslie Gelb: Quite a disturbing person. This guy is President Emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations. So for him to call upon the US government to stop supporting Egyptian protesters and support Mubarak instead sheds a bad light on US foreign diplomacy. Disappointing for beginners, mundane for the politically aware.

Bill O’Reilly and his FOX cohorts: First, Bill: Pseudointellectual. Thinks he has common sense. Yells a lot (which is good because it increases his chances of getting a brain aneurysm). His face is just seething with personal misery. He’s pathetic. Now he’s both pathetic and bad after repeatedly urging everyone to stand with Mubarak because the “Islamists” are planning to make his wife wear a burqa by taking over Egypt. He and his Faux News larvae have had nothing to say about the whole Egyptian deal except “Beware of the Islamists!” They don’t care about history, politics, human rights, poverty, corruption, or oppression. They don’t care about torture in prisons, protesters getting killed in the streets, or anything else other than spreading fear and making money in the process. True false prophets of our times.

Walid Shoebat: Walid is probably yearning for fatherly love, but I don’t care about his psychology. He’s officially a bad person for siding with Mubarak against his people.

King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz of Saudi Arabia: I thought he was just trying to be noble when he hosted Tunisia’s Bin Ali. Now he’s outrightly on Mubarak’s side! Give it a rest, Abdul. You’re old, you’re ill, and so far you’ve gotten away with making people have some respect for you. Why ruin your life when you’re about to leave it? Can’t you think of a better legacy for yourself?

Rush Limbaugh: Is it me, or is Rush’s face suitable for a woman? Seriously. If someone told me he’s a lesbian woman and I didn’t know who he was, I could fall for it. Anyhow, where do I start with his comments on the Egyptian uprising? From supporting Mubarak to warning against “the Islamists” to even mocking the journalists who were beaten in the protests.. he’s a lost cause for me. Evil through and through.

NARUS: This is an American company that helped the ex-Egyptian Government monitor internet activity and locate anti-government activists, an activity considered illegal in the US.

Mike Huckabbee: Baby faced, big eyed, and totally crazy. This demon in doctor’s clothing is completely engrossed by Messianic Apocalyptic Dementia (MAD) and considers Israel to be essential for not only World peace, but for the second coming of Christ. The beauty of events like these is that false religions are revealed for what they are, and a “religion” that leads to supporting tyrranny cannot be described as anything but false, and bad. Out of “concern” for peace, he warned that the Egyptian protests could threaten peaceful nations. By “peaceful nations”, of course, he means Israel, which was established by terrorist gangs and continues to “peacefully” subjugate, humiliate, and assassinate Palestinians.

Alan Dershowitz: Careful enough not to be too forthright in supporting Mubarak, he nevertheless undermined the credibility of the Egyptian protests and justified the US’s “cozying up” to dictators like Mubarak. His position is, and always has been, identical to that of Israel.

Egypt is reforming and Israel is shaking in her boots

By Happy Token

It was to my delight to see Arabs – long forgotten as non consequential, backward people – revolt against power-hungry corrupt leaders in Tunisia, and now, Egypt. Bin Ali’s fleeing to Saudi Arabia and his subsequent total muting by Saudi officials (seriously, the guy hasn’t uttered a word since his exile) was so refreshing, so invigorating. I’m a happier person these days.

But the look on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face.. Priceless. He and his cabal of racist bigots are visually shaking in their boots. They want Egypt’s dictator Mubarak to stay. They want Egyptians to continue to suffer under a corrupt strongman. They really do!

Haaretz proved it this morning when it stated that Israel practically shouted out an SOS to the World to save Mubarak’s regime. This comes from a country that boasts being “the only democracy in the Middle East”. Sure.. The only democracy because it continually makes sure other countries stay under dictator rulership.

And not that Israel is a true democracy anyway. Israel’s record of human rights abuses, land stealing, and theocratic class discrimination makes Israel’s sympathizing with criminal regimes like Mubarak’s come natuarally.

Now watch as Israel starts calling upon every Israel supporter in the World through leagues like AIPAC and the ADL here in America to put all their weight behind Mubarak’s regime. Pro-Israel writers will come out of the woodwork writing articles that warn against a supposed “Islamist” regime to come after Mubarak. These calls will come from Right, Left and Center. People you thought were for human rights like Stephen Colbert will show their true colors as they join the choir to support Mubarak’s dictatorship for the sake of Israel’s “safety”.

Pro-Israel Americans will feverishly push to have the US government support Mubarak. They will inundate their senators and representatives with phone calls and e-mails.. all for the support of a dictator. Sad, but true. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not. You’ll see.

Oh, and now Yahoo! is running a front page piece about the American woman being charged with a crime in Iran. You’ll probably see a lot more of this as a constant reminder of what could happen in Egypt if, God forbid, a Muslim voice makes it to the parlement. There will probably be many more news reports making it to mainstream media outlets about what the “Islamists” are capable of doing, be it in Pakistan, Iran, or anywhere else in the World.

Seriously, Israel: give it a rest, will ya? Haven’t you committed enough sins already? Do you really have to be so  brazenly terrible as to recommend the retention of a corrupt dictator just to serve your interests? I know people have decided you’re not adorable any more (hint: flotilla), but now you’re just being a bitch. I’m sorry.
