Who supported Mubarak?

By Half- Egyptian Token

We are presented with a golden opportunity to mark certain people as bad. It is golden because it puts a solid end to any confusion about their character. It should, from now on, block all attempts at giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Here’s the litmus test: some of us may have been a little uncertain about Husni before the Revolution 18 days ago. However, since the recent uprising started, his true colors became so vivid, so evident to the entire world that if anyone still backed him during the last 18 days, they must be, well, bad. Plain, filthy, evil, bad.

So here goes:

Dick Cheney: Still brave enough to talk in public after Halliburton’s multiple scandals and the horrors of his time in office, and still healthy enough to even talk, Dick probably tought he has a few years left to live, so why not do some more evil? Obviously, shooting someone in the face proved unfashionable in these crazy times of ours. So what does he do? He goes out of his way to publicly call Mubarak “a good man”. No, Dick. You and Mubarak are both bad dudes.

Israel: From Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Haaretz columnists, the Leech State’s voice to the World was calling for the support of Mubarak against his people. Israel, which pounds our ears time after time with the “only true democracy in the Middle East” line apparently loves democracy, but not when applied to an Arab people.

Tony Blankley: He literally wrote an article entitled: “Support Mubarak. Down the Revolution. Up Orderly Progress!” Need I say more? You’re a bad person, Tony.

Leslie Gelb: Quite a disturbing person. This guy is President Emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations. So for him to call upon the US government to stop supporting Egyptian protesters and support Mubarak instead sheds a bad light on US foreign diplomacy. Disappointing for beginners, mundane for the politically aware.

Bill O’Reilly and his FOX cohorts: First, Bill: Pseudointellectual. Thinks he has common sense. Yells a lot (which is good because it increases his chances of getting a brain aneurysm). His face is just seething with personal misery. He’s pathetic. Now he’s both pathetic and bad after repeatedly urging everyone to stand with Mubarak because the “Islamists” are planning to make his wife wear a burqa by taking over Egypt. He and his Faux News larvae have had nothing to say about the whole Egyptian deal except “Beware of the Islamists!” They don’t care about history, politics, human rights, poverty, corruption, or oppression. They don’t care about torture in prisons, protesters getting killed in the streets, or anything else other than spreading fear and making money in the process. True false prophets of our times.

Walid Shoebat: Walid is probably yearning for fatherly love, but I don’t care about his psychology. He’s officially a bad person for siding with Mubarak against his people.

King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz of Saudi Arabia: I thought he was just trying to be noble when he hosted Tunisia’s Bin Ali. Now he’s outrightly on Mubarak’s side! Give it a rest, Abdul. You’re old, you’re ill, and so far you’ve gotten away with making people have some respect for you. Why ruin your life when you’re about to leave it? Can’t you think of a better legacy for yourself?

Rush Limbaugh: Is it me, or is Rush’s face suitable for a woman? Seriously. If someone told me he’s a lesbian woman and I didn’t know who he was, I could fall for it. Anyhow, where do I start with his comments on the Egyptian uprising? From supporting Mubarak to warning against “the Islamists” to even mocking the journalists who were beaten in the protests.. he’s a lost cause for me. Evil through and through.

NARUS: This is an American company that helped the ex-Egyptian Government monitor internet activity and locate anti-government activists, an activity considered illegal in the US.

Mike Huckabbee: Baby faced, big eyed, and totally crazy. This demon in doctor’s clothing is completely engrossed by Messianic Apocalyptic Dementia (MAD) and considers Israel to be essential for not only World peace, but for the second coming of Christ. The beauty of events like these is that false religions are revealed for what they are, and a “religion” that leads to supporting tyrranny cannot be described as anything but false, and bad. Out of “concern” for peace, he warned that the Egyptian protests could threaten peaceful nations. By “peaceful nations”, of course, he means Israel, which was established by terrorist gangs and continues to “peacefully” subjugate, humiliate, and assassinate Palestinians.

Alan Dershowitz: Careful enough not to be too forthright in supporting Mubarak, he nevertheless undermined the credibility of the Egyptian protests and justified the US’s “cozying up” to dictators like Mubarak. His position is, and always has been, identical to that of Israel.

Shahzad, you idiot

 By Muslim Token

I mean, even if you don’t care about New Yorkers getting killed, which is obviously bad enough, what I was hoping for was a little pragmatism: simply weigh things a little before you make such a “bold” step, you know.

Yahoo! News tells me (and Yahoo is always correct) that your life has gone into a downward spiral over the last few years. I know something within you has been making you very, very uncomfortable with life in general and with America in particular - and I really feel bad for you. You were brought up in a country (Pakistan) where speaking your mind could lead to awful consequences. That instilled a permanent fear in you that will forever keep you from being able to use the legal venues of self-expression, even after you had become a naturalized U.S. citizen. You wanted to say a lot of things but you classified yourself as a second-class citizen who, while paying taxes like any other citizen, can’t speak your mind the way other citizens can.

And you’re probably correct for classifying yourself that way. Many Muslims say that they’re enjoying freedom and equality in America, but we both know that is a sham. The same Muslims would probably never dare to obtain a gun license no matter how much they love deer hunting. They’d think several times before becoming active in their local mosques and they’d better excise any dreams of going to flight school from the bottoms of their hearts. Such activities are sure to have their phones, homes, cars, and work places tagged by the feds. And if they’re ever suspected of anything, guess what’s going to serve as circumstantial evidence.

These Muslims also need to be extra super nice to everyone if they’re not to be the next terror suspect. See what happens when you “keep to yourself” like your neighbors described you? I have a neighbor whom I literally know nothing about – and I’ve made several attempts at trying to break the ice but I couldn’t even get to know his name. But he has nothing to worry about. You see, he’s not Muslim. You are. Your occasional hand wave was insufficient.

And you have to be so centered and collected the entire time because the reputation of all Muslims in the world depends on you. If you appear the least bit not-ok, obviously your coworkers and friends will think that all Muslims are that way. It’s the only natural conclusion, right? Feeling stressed because of work, life, or family? Suck it up or someone will have you tagged as a potential sleeper cell member.

And then you have to deal with the utter callousness of people around here. A dozen civilians would be killed in Pakistan by American bombs and no one, from Rush Limbaugh to Keith Olbermann and from Air America Radio to The Patriot, would care to mention it. It’s nothing short of disgusting. It’s like your people have no real human souls that are meant to be grieved over when lost.

At the very same time, everyone from Bill O’Reilly to Steven Colbert and from Winnie the Pooh to the squirrel in your yard are asking you to apologize on behalf of terrorists whom you do not know and did not support with your money like Americans pay for the bombs that kill your people.

That can drive anybody crazygorillapotpie. But because of your upbringing, you missed your chance to use free speech. Everything got piled up inside and was weighing you down further and further.

But think about it for a bit. These conditions I’m mentioning: civilians killed, Muslims under all kinds of social pressure, Americans not giving a flying eyelash for your people’s suffering.. How is all of this not aggravated by terrorism? Who loses the most every time a terror attack takes place? Times Square will go back to business as usual in no time – it has to. The few people you wanted to kill will be matched hundreds of times by bombs falling on Muslims elsewhere. Muslims in the West will undergo all kinds of social, governmental, and psychological hardship. Their lives will be altered for a long time. Their businesses will suffer. Their neighbors will suspect them more. They will be pushed further into a subcitizen category.

And these Muslims are the ones who can help your cause the most for a simple reason: they have the potential to influence America. They are learning how to lobby like others do, their numbers are growing, and they are quite affluent. They are getting in touch with their senators and representatives and letting them know how they feel about foreign policies. They can make a difference, and they will, but not as long as idiots like yourself are ruining it with your explosive toys. Muslims are unequivocally the biggest losers from terror attacks. Anyone who thinks otherwise is plain flipping wrong.

And who won the most from your stupid attempt? “Mainstream” media scored millions of viewers so that they can further tarnish Muslims, America and its allies now have leverage to kill more people around the world, and the political causes of Muslims suffered a blow greater than what your tik-tak screw up could have caused to Times Square.

How have you helped? I mean, you think you were trying to help Islam or Muslims, no?
